When to go
Every season has its charm. Here's how to choose yours, depending on what you want to experience.

A little more rain, especially on the north shores, and the big waves of Oahu's North Shore. It's also humpback whale season.
Spring
Less rain, fewer crowds and a calmer sea: a great time to go.
Summer
Hot and sunny, with a calm sea on most beaches: ideal for swimming and snorkeling.
Autumn
Still warm and quieter than summer: another great time to go.
Where to stay
The right neighbourhood depends on what you're after. Here are our favourite places to stay.
